Sometimes you have to see yourself through someone else’s eyes to realize just how far you’ve come. 🥹❤️

Over the weekend, someone called me to place a vegan oxtail order and casually referred to me as the biggest vegan oxtail manufacturer in the country.

And I was like… WAIT. WHAT?! ME?! 😭😂

They explained that when they needed vegan oxtail, they knew exactly who to call because they knew I could fulfill their order.

And it really made me think.

When you’re the person doing the work, you don’t always recognize the magnitude of what you’re building.

I’m so busy fulfilling orders, managing production, traveling, creating content, and figuring out my next move that I rarely stop to acknowledge the moves I’ve ALREADY made.

Sometimes it takes someone else reminding you of who you are to realize who you’ve become. 🥹

I recently came across my list of wins from 2024, and reading it reminded me just how much I’ve accomplished that I’ve barely given myself credit for.

And here’s what I’m learning: Acknowledging your accomplishments isn’t arrogance. It’s GRATITUDE. ❤️

So here’s your reminder to WRITE YOUR WINS DOWN!

Not just the money or major milestones, but the boundaries you set, the fears you conquered, the places you visited, the relationships you walked away from, and the times you chose yourself.

Because sometimes we’re so focused on how far we have left to go that we forget how far we’ve already come.

You deserve to be proud of yourself while you’re still becoming. 🏆

I understand that everything in my life came to teach me something. The relationships that worked. The ones that didn’t. The opportunities I fumbled. The doors that closed in my face. The people who loved me beautifully and the people who irritated the absolute shit outta me. All teachers.

And that realization has given me a different kind of peace.

Because when I stopped asking “why did this happen to me?” and started asking “what did this come to teach me?” I don’t have to hate somebody just because their season in my life is over. I don’t have to be ashamed of a failure when it taught me something success never could. I can be disappointed and still be grateful. I can grieve it and still honor it. I can know I deserved better and still appreciate what the experience revealed about me.

Some lessons arrive wrapped in love. Some arrive disguised as disruption. Some will break your heart, humble your ego, expose your patterns and make you meet parts of yourself you’ve been avoiding. Damn, I needed to hear that, even right now writing this ya’ll.

Because my babies, when you start seeing life as a classroom instead of a courtroom, you stop needing everything to be guilty or innocent, right or wrong, good or bad.

Sometimes it was simply the lesson. I pray we all learn it, thank it, and let it be over.

There is so much peace on the other side of no longer needing the lesson to apologize for how it taught you.

Forgive. Release. Rise. And always, #takewhatyouneed
