Just finished up a hypertrophy phase by putting that newly built muscle to the Test.⚒️💪🧱🔎

BW 220 –> 237 this phase ⚖️
BW 210 —> 224 last phase ⚖️

27lb gain in total! 🤯 📈

Excited to say that this new muscle mass isn’t only show muscle 🔱✨& we’ve added some GO Muscle!💪🟢😤

Last week I decided to record my last/heaviest working set on the SBD movements these were all the 4th set of an ascending pyramid 🔺 finishing off with 5 reps. I was taxed and tired ☠️ yet I still hit numbers that I would have been lucky🍀 to do for my first working set a few months ago! 🗓️

I knew that I was close… closer than ever to reaching my goal of benching 405lbs…
This was going to be a focus point during an upcoming strength phase but some family trips back to the Northwest 🏔️🥔 were going to delay progress for at least a month… Now was the time. So we took a small de-load…. & A new bench PR🚨 of 420lbs pounds moved with ease‼️

Average people live off talent. Phenomenal people live off effort. 🔥

Today I’ve exceeded my own expectations, I’ve accomplished each of my original gym goal metrics by finally benching well over 405lbs…420lbs moved with ease! 🤯 growing up I was always the runt of the bunch, skin and bones! 🦴😅but I was determined to do everything in my control to be powerful and chase greatness. My strong athletic brothers were my idols, little by little I added muscle to my frame year after year I slowly became stronger, bigger, faster I was addicted to the progress. When I married Taylor she joined me on the journey and we accelerated our pace by gaining formal education in the subject and having an accountability partner 24/7 who did all she could to see us succeed.

We now have a combination of factors that has lead to the perfect storm of peak progress -our very Jobs are centered around physical performance, we have outstanding sponsorship from @prosupplements_ok and the most intelligent individual I know as our coach @executestrengthandconditioning I truly feel unstoppable.

Day one of stepping into a gym, my wish was to get at least 1 pull-up! Today I was able to squeeze out 3 👏🥹✅

It’s been a journey so far! I’ve experienced highs and lows, injuries, stages of weight gain, unsustainable weight loss, etc.

What is most important is the push itself, the fight! You get up, swing and miss, that’s progress. You get up and you run at what you want with everything you got and you miss… that’s progress. The effort of making the attempt is progress.

If you do not quit, you cannot fail! ❤️
I’m excited to keep improving!

Officially over 100lb difference between us!!

We have both changed roughly 20 lbs since we first started with @executestrengthandconditioning 🤯
Funny enough, we both have about 10lbs left in pursuit of our goals.

30lb of fat loss and 30lb of muscle gain are no joke. We’re so grateful to have had a great coach to guide us.

Additionally, a huge shout out to @prosupplements_ok in Poteau for helping us reach our macro/ nutrition goals. Reaching our protein target has never been easier! Quality supplements from trusted sources has given us an edge. We appreciate having like minded individuals in our corner.

It has certainly helped to have an accountability partner living beside me asking if I tracked my macros today or if I completed all my reps 😅

Consistency Matters.

I’m still striving to be the type of person that “leaves no gap between what needs to be done and what I do.”

In the past 6 years I’ve gained 50 pounds!!! I credit so much to my wife for being consistent in striving for our goals. Because of her it’s been consistent nutritional whole foods & strategic training with no excuses. We’ve trained at 5 in the morning for semesters and late nights during others, no matter what we find a way. While we have trained for various purposes and competitions, aesthetics has usually been a fortunate byproduct. For me it was easy to train to improve performance almost by second nature (experience and a degree) I knew exactly what it would take to improve to the point of a podium finish. I was so successful in doing my own thing that it’s all I’ve ever done.

I wondered if I was nearing the limit of my genetic potential…. But turns out I’m not even close! In just the past 12 weeks I’ve gained 10 pounds these were not “newbie gains” It was fine tuning some essentials in movements, nutrition and sleep with the help of @executestrengthandconditioning a spectacular gym @poteaufamilyfitness and my spouse being 110% on board, these past few months haven’t been easy but they were extremely effective.

I’m a strength and conditioning coach who has studied and practiced this stuff for years and even I’ve benefited from coaching!
