HOLY CRAP. WE WON!!! 🏆🐾 Happy With Dogs just won the 2026 IBBY Pet Care Business Excellence Award for Small Facility Business!! International Boarding & Pet Services Association - @petcareservices The awards were hosted at the @canisconference in Illinois, and this one means a lot. Being recognized by people who actually work in the boarding and pet care industry, who understand what goes into caring for other people’s dogs and running these businesses, makes it even more special. Huge thank you to my team in Miami and Michigan. I couldn’t do this without you guys. And to all our clients who have trusted us with their dogs over the years, thank you for being part of this! Thank you to IBPSA for the recognition and congratulations to all the finalists! Pretty freaking proud of this one!! ❤️ PocketSuite TerWisscha Construction, Inc.

IACP (AKA Dog Trainer Summer Camp) is a time for me to be surrounded by like-minded, but open-minded people. Last year I was here as a vendor, and this year I came as an attendee, and this year felt different. Not in a bad way. Just…different. It was cool to be able to actually attend the sessions and learn, though I am acutely aware that all the knowledge I am gaining only benefits one dog (mine). I’ve been asked multiple times this year at conference why I’m not a dog trainer, because my passion for training is clearly there, and I could talk about dog training all day. It’s something I’ve thought about a lot, but I’ve realized and come to accept that there are different paths within the training community. And I think for me, what has always aligned with the KONOS brand, which aligned with my own values (chicken or the egg?), is empowering dog owners to build deeper relationships with their dogs — not necessarily by me training their dogs directly, but by sharing my knowledge with people who, like me, have a passion (or necessity, in mine and many other cases), for training their own dogs. That being said, I feel absolutely at home with the dog trainers here at IACP, and I’ve been finding some deep pockets of conversation between sessions that I don’t think I would’ve been able to do as a vendor. It’s also been a struggle this year between networking for my business, and wanting to just soak up as much knowledge as I can. I’m trying to find a balance, but I’m also trying to be present with the people I’m in community with. Clearly, I am a bit mentally/emotionally/cognitively overwhelmed from 12-hour days, and will share more as I process the experience. Btw, a Day 1 reel’s all you’re getting because I forgot to film the rest of it #IACP #DogTraining #DogTrainers #DogPeople

This past week was the annual IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) educational conference in Savannah, GA. I got to meet up old friends, meet some new ones and make more connections with other like minded professionals that have been doing this a lot longer than me. If you are in the dog training industry and need a community, somewhere to engage in conversation, make lasting friendships, get a fire lit under your @ss and learn from some of the best trainers around the world. I can’t recommend this conference enough. Next year it’s on the west coast in Newport Beach, CA. Keynote speakers are Michael Ellis and Denise Fenzi! Hold onto your hats friends!!!! #dogs #dogtraining #IACP #puppy #puppytraining #allarewelcome #communityovercult

Savannah Spirits & Southern Shadows 🌕👻 Dog Trainers: Unite… and beware. 🐾💀 After an incredible day at the IACP conference here in Savannah, Georgia, a group of us dog trainers swapped leashes for lanterns and hit the streets for a haunted walking tour—and it was an absolute vibe. 😱🕯️ We wandered along uneven cobblestone streets, past moss-draped oaks and buildings steeped in centuries of scary history. Our guide (Dylan), delivered all the eerie details—haunted cemeteries, restless spirits, and maybe the creepiest fact of the night: some of the dips in the sidewalks are from landslides into grave sites. 😬 Let that one SINK in. 💀⚰️ One of the most chilling stops? The Marshall House—a gorgeous hotel that once served as a hospital. These days it’s known for flickering lights, ghostly limb encounters, and phantom children shenanigans. It’s stunning… and totally unsettling. It was such a fun way for us trainers to connect, share laughs, and step outside of our usual work mode—though let’s be honest, our trainer brains were still analyzing those energy shifts the whole time. Kinda like a pack walk… just with ghosts.👻 Highly recommend if you’re in Savannah—and if you’re brave, book room 414. 👀 #IACP2025 #HauntedSavannah #DogTrainersUnite #MarshallHouseHauntings #GhostTourVibes #BuriedHistory #SavannahNights #SouthernGothic @canineprofessionals @lifetimecaninecoaching @andreaedenc @paws.on.serenity @shopkonos @traci.swearer @harmonydogtrainingllc @lowtide06 @georgepupstop @leaderofthepacklv @bowwowbill @atrain02 @passionatepawsltd @kanine_freedom @brightstark9 @jaclyndagampat @elatedcanine @k_dog811 @traci.swearer
