I got to do a virgin! A hair color virgin 😜 and it took a lot of work, technique, color and time. Our goal was to blend the greys while keeping it dimensional and low maintenance. She’s SUBTLE. She’s BLENDED. She’s BEAUTIFUL! 10 points to whoever can guess how long this took 😅😂

I'm sure you've heard the word balayage, but maybe youre asking, what is it? I'm going to get real hair nerdy 🤓 Balayage is a french word and it means- to sweep, to literally paint color on. It's not new. It originated in the 70's. It's not a "look" it's a technique. This technique leaves the hair looking naturally sun kissed and organic. Not so planed out like a traditional foil highlight. You can see in the photo that you can go longer in-between appointments and the transition is soft and there are no harsh lines like a traditional foil. Not everyone is a candidate for balayage. It all depends on the look and tone you are trying to achieve. Interested in balayage? Ask me!
