A mini @choreographers_carnival recap!! 07/21/26

Wowwwwww I am so so grateful for this experience. The biggest shout out to our cast for trusting the vision and of course my partner in crime @marleyyreynosoo .

We brought our club vision to life with this one. Marley and I have had our fair share of club outings together (and many more to come) but something we’ve noticed is the lack of actual dancing in the club— I will be the one to rant about how social media, modern dating, and the fear of judgment has ruined the club culture but I think yall get the idea.

“We’re fools whether we dance or not so we might as well dance” ITS REALLY NOT THAT SERIOUS WE HAVE LOST THE ART OF LETTING LOOSE YALL. Brought a lot of goofiness, play, and sass to that stage…in hopes to encourage yall to MOVE when you hear music.

As I always say “if you’re not dancing wtf are you doing in the club” (with love) 💀

Marley and I have been choreographing together for quite some time now and we wanted to debut a set together at Carnival. Through all of the trial and error we really fkn did it and I’m so proud. Dance is something I keep very close to my heart and it’s not something I post about often if ever— this year I wanted to challenge myself to be vulnerable and start sharing this side of my life, even if it is posting goofy a** videos on my story. Dance brings me so much joy and fulfillment and I wanted to showcase that with this piece. Dance isn’t to impress its to express!! (corny but true) As we put this set together, I placed so much emphasis on cultivating a space in which we could uplift, support, and just HAVE fun with one another, we take it seriously but we are human first. Dancing to me isn’t about being the best, doing too much, being super clean, or clout chasing…it is truly about having fun, not many things provide me with this level of fulfillment quite like dance does. The love and gratitude I have for this cast is immeasurable, and I will cherish this memory forever.
