Part four: chasing the official running finish line in fifty states and DC 🇺🇸 and counting down to the last state.
2019-2022 : cold races, pandemic hiatus, and chasing unicorn 🦄

34th running state: Michigan. Dexter-Ann Arbor Half Marathon with my Indo bros 🇮🇩. August 2021
.
I knew I wanted to run Ann Arbor for MI state, because Fla spent two years there doing her post doc.

35th running state: Nebraska. the Good Life Halfsy Half Marathon in Lincoln. October 2021. Pouring rain, thunderstorm, and lightning at mile 4.5 when the organizer decided to call off the race and to seek for shelter.
I saw a small amount of runners were still going. Last water station at mile 7 before they pulled out. It rained so hard I can’t see the signage and I just followed the runner in front of me, saw the finish line and fakkk - 12.5 miles 😆☠️ Timing mat was off. I did the 13.1 a week after back home, submitted the result and that’s how I end up checking off Nebraska.

36th running state: Wisconsin. Madison Half Marathon. November 2021. Another rainy morning and flurries 🥹😭🩷

#madison #wisconsin #madisonhalfmarathon

37th running state: Alabama. Mercedes Benz Half Marathon. February 2022. Mini service/mass at the start line before we started the run.

#mercedezbenz #halfmarathoner #alabama #birmingham

38th running state: Missouri. Go St Louis Half Marathon. April 2022.
I chose this because Robert (my TeamUltra bro) lives here. Mil

Fall is calling, and it’s time to lace up. 🍂👟

With spooky sprints, pumpkin runs, turkey trots and holiday races on the calendar, central Arkansas is gearing up for a full season of miles, medals and community fun. Honestly, we’re just excited to get outdoors and get active without having a heatstroke. 🫠

Whatever your race-day mood, we’ve got the upcoming calendar covered at the link in bio.

One finish line. Every pace. 🏁

"We're big believers in inclusivity and trying to show everybody the benefits of running and walking and endurance events."

The Little Rock Marathon's All-Abilities program is opening the door for athletes with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities to train, build confidence and experience the excitement of crossing the finish line alongside thousands of other runners.

For many participants, the program is about more than logging miles. It’s a chance to challenge themselves, find independence and be part of something bigger. As one participant’s mom puts it, "It's an overwhelming feeling. It’s an overjoy."

Read the moving story behind the program in our September issue, on newsstands now. 🏃👟
