Fragments from the past weeks.
Two ceramic exhibitions visited in Lisbon and congratulations to Lera @of__the__clay for being part of both.
Many meetings and conversations.
Structural rhythms observed in the streets.
A new work has begun, continuing my interest in order and organisation, and in objects occupying space both within and beyond the page.

Hi. My name is Valeriia, sculptor based in Lisbon.

My process is focused on the human experience – emotions, inner states, and behaviour. Through my practice, I explore my own subjectivity and personal experience as a way to reflect on broader social and interpersonal conditions. This approach is rooted in autoethnographic research, where making becomes a tool for observation and self-examination.

I work primarily with clay, using hand-building as my main method. The process is studio-based and form-driven, with close attention to gesture, proportion, and physical presence.
