Lifts feeling good the last couple days. Hoping this volume translates to big numbers in a couple months. Some technique tweaks and cues have been helping A LOT. Let’s eat, Coach!

He reflects my joy right back to me

We’ve been in love before. In another lifetime I think. Happy we found our way back to each other in this one :)

Because of how you held me through the dark days, we get to stand here in the light

Some of my favorite moments with you aren’t the big ones. However, this was in fact a big one

You are everything I ever dreamed of, and more than I ever dared to hope for

I am ready to spend forever loving you, because you have already given me a lifetime of reasons to

I can’t wait to see where this life takes us

2nd kiss ever as your wife 😎

Stepping into forever ♾️

Hitting all these in the morning on 2 tablespoons of honey and maybe a couple Pop Tarts. Let’s keep it rolling.

First squat session in almost two weeks. Safe to say moving wrecked me—that first rep tells the whole story 😮‍💨💀

Fun fact: Hack squats were actually named after @bilbo_swaggins181 after he saved a family from getting crushed by squatting their car off them at an angle. True story. Don’t look it up. 🚗🏋️‍♂️

Tested the @nextlevelstrength.co standard sleeves today and I’m a fan.

#throwbackthursday to my very 1st Powerlifting competition - to then many more throughout the years!

Shoutout to the best coach in the industry @lsmcclain who took this guy to another level and surrounded him by some of the baddest mofos around mentally and physically 💪🏾

I’ll compete again soon.

The road to 700kg started this week! Need to make improvement or my wife said I’ll have to switch to Hyrox. And as @badazz.chris.p once said, “I’m not trying to be the best at exercising” 😂

210 Takeover Recap! 📝
Signed up for a meet the same weekend as TCDA 😅
Squat 3/3
Best squat 247.5 kg/545 lbs (PR) 📈
Squats were going well and we planned to chip the PR and send it on the 3rd attempt and it worked!
Bench 2/2
Best bench 135 kg/297 lbs (PR) 📈
Same plan for bench was working but that second attempt was a fight so I tried to save some strength for deadlifts in a very fast meet.
Deadlifts 1/3 😮‍💨
Only deadlift 250 kg
Tried to continue with the plan here but this was the fastest meet I’ve done yet, finishing in just over 2 hours. I tried to take a big jump for my 2nd but it wasn’t there on the day. Body was cooked for the third. We live and we learn.
Total: 632.5 kg and best male lifter of the meet! 🥇 Not the total we hoped for with the way training was going but with a fast meet and no handler I can say now that I’m happy with it. Cool to get a best lifter award for the first time and pleased with the squat and bench progress. Thank you to my wife and family for coming out to support and to Elysian for a well ran meet and beautiful facility. On to the next!
