Styled shoot magic ✨

With wedding season coming to an end a few of us got together to create some magic at a beautiful new Devon wedding venue - The Sloe Barn. This stunning venue puts an elegant twist on barn weddings, a high end aesthetic with freedom to make your day entirely your own. I really hope I get the pleasure of capturing a real wedding here 😍

The most magical day ♥️

I’M A @twia_official FINALIST!

After 10 years of photography, over 700 couples married, countless stories and a year that has tested me in more ways than I ever expected… I came home from my wedding last night to find in my inbox an email telling me that I’m a finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards THANK YOU !!

And honestly, I’m a little emotional writing that.

Because this isn’t an award I’ve entered myself and hoped someone would like my work. It was my couple Olivia & Daniel who put me forward and nominated me. All of your votes got me there, YOU all have trusted me to photograph one of the most important days of your lives.

That means more to me than I can properly explain.

I think this year has taught me that sometimes you just have to keep going, even when you’re not feeling particularly confident, even when life feels hard, you are ill and even when that little voice in your head is telling you that you’re not good enough.

I’ve kept showing up.
I’ve kept creating.
I’ve kept being me.

And maybe that’s what makes this feel so special.

After 10 years, I don’t want to be anyone else’s version of a wedding photographer. I just want to be me documenting your day honestly, naturally and with all the laughter, chaos, colour, tears and wonderfully imperfect moments that make it yours.

So to every couple who has trusted me, supported me, recommended me, shared my work and especially those who took the time to vote…

THANK YOU.

Just kidding! There's been a lot of photographer/videographer versus content creator posts going around on socials recently. My point of view? Content creation is here to stay and it's definitely got it's place in the wedding industry.

A little behind the scenes from a recent photoshoot we took part in @pickwellmanorweddings

The brief was an elegant and romantic tablescape with soft draping and an Italian inspired feel.

We don't do many shoots these days but it's always so much fun to get creative with other suppliers. Its a different energy to styling at a wedding in which every last detail is planed, we arrive with lots of decor and a brief idea and see what happens!

Without you, it’s just an idea.

We can plan the events, find the speakers, choose the venue and obsess over all the tiny details.

But you’re the bit that makes The Femme Collective what it is.

You show up. You talk to each other. You share what you know. You make friends. You recommend each other. And then you come back and do it all over again.
Together, it becomes a community. 💛

And we’re very bloody grateful for ours.

We’ll be doing it all again on 12th March 2027.
