@j.dernn is LSU bound🐯💜💛
Training Julia over the last five years has been one of the most rewarding parts of my coaching journey. Her intensity is unmatched. Her mentality is different. And watching her play is one of my favorite things to do as a coach. Every single time the ball finds her feet, I get excited because I know she’s about to make something happen.
•
She’s also the reason one of my favorite coaching quotes has become a staple:
“Be the bully, not the bullied.”
Not in life, but between those white lines. Be aggressive. Be fearless. Demand the ball. Make your opponent uncomfortable. Play with an edge, and never apologize for your competitiveness.
•
Julia embodies that mentality becoming this year’s ECNL champ and player of the year, getting called up to the USA U17 national team camp and being an all American. I couldn’t be happier to see her take the next step at LSU and compete at the Division I level. The Tigers are getting a special player, and I can’t wait to watch what she does next.
•
Proud of you, Julia. This is only the beginning. 🐯❤️
Geaux Tigers! 💜💛

@LSUSoccer and @RylieKuyper continue to inspire others to Fight Like a Tiger. 💜💛

Days before their Green Match to recognize Rylie's battle with cancer, she and her teammates returned to the @FMOLHealth | Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute to bring smiles and encouragement to patients receiving treatment.

For Rylie, the visit was especially meaningful. It was her first time back in the Infusion Center since ringing the bell, giving her the opportunity to thank the team members who supported her and remind others to keep fighting like a Tiger.
