I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Lincoln Trail College! I want to thank my current and former coaches and teammates for helping me grow into the player I am today, my family and friends for their constant support, and especially my parents for all of the sacrifices they’ve made to help me reach my goals. A huge thank you to Coach Maynard and Coach Bennett for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I am so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to get to work. Go Statesmen!

Fast hands can make a catcher look special.

But if the base is unstable, the body is moving and the pocket is inconsistent, that ability only shows up when the timing is perfect.

Luke already had the hand speed. Our job was to build a quieter, more repeatable position underneath it.

We stripped the movement down, rebuilt the glove path and gradually added the baseball back in. The result was not faster hands—it was a more accurate pocket and a better platform for his natural ability to work from.

Fast hands are a gift. Repeatable positions are a skill.

This is only the foundation. I’m looking forward to seeing how Luke carries it into his upcoming college season.

Save this for your next receiving session and follow @catchers.collective for modern catching development.
