We're previewing the @calgaryfolkfest this week on KEY OF A, checking out tunes from a few Alberta artists playing this year, including Joe Nolan, Raleigh, Mike Stack and more. And since it’s my birthday weekend, we’ll also hear music from some of my friends and collaborators from across Alberta. Tune in today at 4:00pm across the province on CBC Radio One (AM/FM), Sundays and Thursdays on SiriusXM channel 169 and now Sunday nights at 10:42pm on CBC Music (FM) across Canada. You can also listen on-demand through CBC Listen (app/website). #AlbertaMusic #YYC #YEG

Some shots of this weekend’s two Intrusions workshops with the un-intrudable-upon @caconrad88, teaching us all how to get our poet armour on and KEEP WRITING. Activities involved close looking @geologicnotes exhibition from unusual angles, mandalas, and posing as giant thistles… then writing. @fruitmarketgallery

Imaginary Poster Club: Propaganda for a Better World
Saturday 23rd May | 12-3pm | The Briggait
Free, drop in! No ticket required.

Every day we’re bombarded by propaganda for capitalism – but a better world is possible. In this drop-in session with artists @ltleif and @flanneryokafka, you’re invited to make your own posters and flyers to indoctrinate the public with anti-capitalist rhetoric. You can even make some copies to put up around town.

[ID: A pink circle with a digital illustration of a black hand reaching up to grasp a black star. The circle sits in the middle of a blue sky with clouds. Along the top of the image is a banner of repeated stickers: an outline illustration of a dog, 'Glasgow Zine Fest' in squiggly font and an airbrushed castle. The event title and information is above and below the illustration in black text.] A post promoting Imaginary Poster Club at Glasgow Zine Fest

💚✨🫠 ME IN THREE 🫠✨💚

It was an honour & a privilege to return to @roddyhart’s excellent show on @bbcradioscot to deliver my ME IN THREE. Three songs that mean a lot to me in my life, followed by a track from yours truly. Big love to @sonicbull & Roddy for having me on!

You can see THREE versions of ME in this post, captured at @cornishbank last month by photographer @bellecinematics 📸💚

SWIPE all the way to the end to hear Roddy summing up my choice choons:

1. About Group - ‘I Never Lock That Door’
2. Smog - ‘Held’
3. LT Leif - ‘Pass Back Through’

followed by ‘Torch Song’.

📻 You can listen again, and hear my chat on @bbcsounds. Just search for Roddy Hart. It starts about 1hr 15mins in.
