One thing people often ask me about freehand tattooing is: “Dunja, how does it actually work?”

We don’t start with a finished design.

We start with you ♥️ your idea, where you imagine it on your body, what you’re drawn to, and how you naturally move. Then I start drawing directly on your skin.

And we take our time with it.

We look at it together, move things around, add something, take something away. I’ll tell you what I see and what I think would work beautifully, but I also want to hear how it feels to you. Nothing has to be decided before you come, and nothing gets tattooed until we both look at it and feel “yes, this is it.” ♥️

For me, freehand was never about having complete freedom as an artist. It’s about creating something together that I could never make in exactly the same way for somebody else.

And maybe that’s why these sessions feel so personal to me.🥹

We spend hours together. We talk, create, change our minds, laugh, have coffee, take breaks, sometimes just sit quietly. My job isn’t only to make you a beautiful tattoo ♥️ it’s also to guide you through the whole experience, make sure you feel comfortable with me, and remind you that we’re a team in this.

And somewhere in those hours together, something that started as your little idea becomes ours for a moment…and then becomes completely yours. Forever. ♥️

So maybe the real question is:
would you trust me to guide you through your freehand session?

First post after my little offline summer ☀️so of course it had to be her ❤️ @draganabosskovski

Her birds of paradise, from one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on.

And honestly, I want more of this.

More big projects, more color, more freehand, more plants taking over bodies. More ideas that we start together without knowing exactly where they’ll end up.

I came back from my break with a very full heart, a rested head and a ridiculous amount of energy to work — so let’s start strong. 😁😎

Bookings are open September–December 2026
Slovenia · Croatia · Serbia · Italy

* a few more guest spots I’ll announce soon.

Bring me your big ideas. I’m ready. 🌿

"the music that lives in me" turns six months, and suffice it to say, i am completely overwhelmed by the insane reception the film has had, still pinching myself 🥲

when i wrote the poem in november last year, i was feeling powerless, dejected, and also a little angry in the aftermath of a heartbreak (tale as old as time). i felt displaced in my own story and devoid of any agency, and i simply couldn't let it be. no matter what anyone else said, i had to tell my story - i needed to turn my pain into something beautiful and meaningful the only way i could. so this poem, this film is about self-reclamation, honouring your experience and your feelings, and persevering in the impossible times.

but more importantly, the film is a testament to human connection, the magic of creative collaboration and just plain kindness. i am forever indebted to my brilliant collaborators @nothingtoseehere.music @willetrumpet @lu.mes @25th_running_picasso and @andr__music who listened so attentively and shared so generously across time zones, languages and national borders. if that's not kismet, i don't know what is.

i used to cry watching this film, thinking of all the things i have lost, but now i am filled with pride and gratitude for all the things i have gained as a result of making this film.

"and all that's left
is music
that lives
in me"
🤍🤍🤍

This only works if someone trusts you with their skin for months, not minutes.

She traveled cities. I traveled countries. Every month, October to June.

Nine months of trust — hers in me, mine in the process.

We did it. 🤍 Full story coming soon.
