POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When playing from the high post, it's crucial to be seen as a threat. Many high school players tend to quickly pass the ball away when they're in this position, like playing a game of hot potato, without first proving themselves as a threat by looking towards the basket. This approach lets the defense relax.

To counter this, you need to be bold. Face the basket to draw the defense's attention and let their reaction to your potential move guide your next action. Always base your decisions on how the defense is positioned.

The high post can feel chaotic, with lots of movement happening around you, leading to what feels like sensory overload. However, with consistent practice in facing the basket and positioning yourself as someone who makes decisions, you'll find it easier to make smart choices. This practice helps you become more comfortable in the role of a decision-maker, navigating the high post effectively.

Multidirectional Speed & Agility ⛹️

Going over lateral shuffling today with @ballout.lucas ‼️ My guy has been improving every week 👏🏼

📍In effort to optimize performance, training should replicate sport-specific mechanics/movement patterns. 🎯

📍 Basketball, a multidirectional sport, incorporates movement qualities like linear speed, lateral speed, multidirectional speed, linear/vertical/angular deceleration, and acceleration, to name a few.

If you would like to improve on any of these qualities, dm or call us now ‼️

📍 Youth Athletic Development

Working at @adptbycynergy, I found a true passion for working with youth athletes and the journey that comes with it 🙏🏽

Every visit/session, is met with intent and is indeed planned and prepared for. However, given the nature of how plastic and unpredictable the physiology of a youth athlete can be, I always find myself on my toes‼️

Our youth athletic program allows us to appropriately ASSESS readiness…OBSERVE movement quality and quantity…and ESTABLISH a quality plan of care to help prepare the foundation of the athlete 🧱 🧱 🧱

Thus tailoring a plan that is specific and effective at the right time that translates to their sport/activity💯

Hmu with questions, thoughts, or book your next appointment!
