the ricoh griii is genuinely the best value on the go camera for anyone who wants to shoot raw without the weight and bulk of a larger camera. it takes a couple of youtube videos to acquaint yourself with the settings and find the right color profile based on your personal preferences, but once it clicks, you’re solid. i shoot manual 100% of the time with ease and confidence- interface design and button placement make it feel seamless to tweak in an instant. low-light capabilities are limited, but I don’t shoot at night often. if i am, i’m using a lighpix labs hot shoe flash attachment and the photos are always unreal. if you’re looking for something compact without sacrificing image quality or full manual capabilities, Ricoh GRiii is an extremely solid option. 90% certified fresh on rotten tomatoes, but 100% in my heart 🍅- docked 10% due to its limited low light and video capabilities. (really only recommend this for stills- haven’t loved the video outcome, but that’s not what i personally bought this camera for, so that’s not a deal breaker for me)
