🌱 Deadly screeching roots? 🍀 Plants that make you live forever? 🌼 Flowers that instantly improve your mood? 🌸 People had all sorts of ideas about the magical properties of plants in the Middle Ages. Is there a seed of truth hidden in these legends?

🔬🚀June marked the launch of MetKids Microscope Season 3 - my third time collaborating with the incredible team at the Metropolitan Museum of Art @emmavecc @rachface.jpg @skychoi16 💫💫💫 In this season, my team and I created original characters of curators, designed a retro infomercial, crafted paper puppets, and I can’t wait for you to see all of their beautiful work!

“Are Magic Plants Real?” is set in the medieval gardens at the Met Cloisters in New York. I used a botanical sketchbook style treatment to recreate the Bonnefont Garden. @lupo_mia designed and animated a most charming character based on the garden’s Managing Horticulturist, Carly Still, who gives us the tour. @artof_tarakaaay designed the medieval Herbal and its luminous illustrations. And bug expert @lynxiiel designed and animated our curious cricket.

MetKids Microscope is a show about the science behind the art (and the art behind the science!) at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Watch the whole series at the ✨link in bio✨

the sluttiest release party to end all release parties !!! 🍒🌟 the queer nightlife/drag scene in brooklyn has molded me into the artist that i am, and it was of the utmost importance to me to highlight the spaces and the people who have changed my life. i was so grateful to host at all night skate, somewhere that has been a space of acceptance for so many and that allows creative people to push limits and experiment with their own creativity. and of course, i am so grateful to succubus, acid, lie-luh, i’m baby, corsette and saga for tearing it up and giving such killer performances !!! i met each of these performers at such integral and formative moments of building my career here in new york, it felt so beautiful to celebrate this moment with them and get to share in their talent. thank you for taking me under your wings and helping me grow. thank you to teo and nolan for getting everyone on the dance floor with your amazing dj sets, to kyle for these beautiful photos, bella for helping with tracks, fiola for helping with lights, and to luna and luca for their instrumental help in organizing and coordinating this event with me. and last but never, ever least - for everyone who came to support!!!!!! your presence is a gift and a blessing that i will never take for granted. you are special in every room that you walk into, but i hope that i can continue to create spaces where you feel even more special. this is only the beginning 💘
