One year old!!! Happy 1st birthday to our most precious and favored girl! Just as everyone warns you, the first year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. We tried so hard to soak in and cherish every moment, but the inevitable still came and what a bittersweet day this is. A true blessing to watch you grow into this beautiful, happy, silly girl and still my heart aches to snuggle you as a newborn one last time! We lower the crib another notch and my heart sinks a little with it. What a conflicting feeling this new role of motherhood is - what seems like “just yesterday” also feels like a lifetime ago; like entering a foreign land but also being right at home. This year has brought on so many milestones, tears, laughter, and learning. I am so grateful to be your mom - I love you endlessly, my girl!!! 🤍

“It’s been a year of us together, a newborn no longer but my baby forever. It’s been a year of you on my chest, you’ll never remember but it’s been the best. It’s been a year, our first trip round the sun, happy birthday to you, because today you turn one.”🎂
