I’m honestly at a loss for words.

These past few years at Tech have been a whirlwind of joy, exhaustion, and incredible experiences. I have met so many wonderful people and have been given opportunities that helped me grow not just as a flute player, but as a person.

I still remember my freshman year—I was far too shy to play in front of anyone. Now I am preparing to give my senior recital in less than a week and have had the opportunity to perform at both TMEA and the Schermerhorn with the Tennessee Tech Symphony Band. I am amazed at how far i’ve come.

This past week, in particular, was filled with experiences that felt like a massive turning point for both myself and my peers.

I want to extend a sincere thank you to Mr. Lynch, Mr. Grayson, Dr. Miller, Dr. Hill, Dr. Shank, Dr. G, The Assembly Quartet, Dr. Candey, and Dr. Copley.

To my mom, dad, family, friends, and everyone in the TTU Bands—thank you for your support. You all did such an amazing job, and it was truly inspiring to share the stage with you.

While this may have been my final performance with Symphony Band, it is certainly not my last performance overall. I am so excited for what’s next—especially for all my friends who are graduating alongside me.

Onward to the next chapter!

Thank you @lucasboof for taking these photos.

You may call me C. N. Bonner or C-BO. I’m an aspiring music composer and digital creator and I’m studying at Tennessee Tech University. Music is my biggest passion, and I am to express that passion through orchestral compositions. I used to do different types of videos but I’ve decided it’s time for a switch up. And this I’m doing it as myself. #music #fyp

This weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the region 7 North American Saxopone Alliance conference at University of Tennessee Knoxville with the @tntechsaxophone . We premiered works by TTU's very own Griffin Candey, Garrett Krawczyk, and Colton McManus. It was a weekend full of making new connections and seeing some old colleagues. Congrats to TTU Saxophone studio's own Midas Quartet for winning the quartet competition!
