"Raise them for the world," 🌎 they said. And so I did.

😎 This handsome dude (aka my firstborn, for those who don’t know) took the stage today as an invited speaker (and crushed it) at a Virtual Reality summit in Germany! 🇩🇪 You can imagine how excited he was to go on his first solo trip overseas with all expenses paid! @lucasvrtech I’m always going to be your biggest fan! ❤️

#Update 7 - I am designing my own haptic glove!

Now that I have learned how this works, I wanted to make a design of my own.

If anyone was wondering, unfortunately I wasn’t able to get haptics feedback working yet.

My goals for my own glove is to make it more compact and reduce weight, I wanted to make it easy to swap gloves, and i designed it so the glove parts take less filament to print, and I also wanted it to fit any size hand, while also making it so it’s easier to slip on and off the glove.

The drawing in the third picture is what it’s going to look like for each finger. Btw this design supports splaying, which tracks the distance between fingers.

Update 6 - Got hand tracking working!

Force feedback coming soon… also controller mounts and joysticks.

Update 5 - I redesigned from scratch a Exo glove designed by chrisYOLO on thingiverse to fit the new functionality of prototype 4. It’s not exactly a Exo glove anymore, so I call it an glove plate.

My design adds the sliders from the old wrist mount from my last update, so all the parts on the glove can easily be replaced now.
I also added Velcro straps loops for better comfort, and a slider for my ESP-32 Arduinos.

Lastly I finished making all of the readers for each finger. #lucidvrtech

Next I’m planning on doing some wiring and creating a case for the ESP-32s and then installing firmware
and then hopefully boot it into steamVR.
