“Somewhere along the way, I started losing myself in music”

I used to make music because it made me happy, but somewhere I started thinking about numbers, trends, what would be best instead of what felt good to me.. ➡️

“I was chasing everything except what I wanted”

Virality, trends, you name it. Trying to figure out what my next one should sound like. I kept seeking validation instead of listening to myself. I think that’s when it started to feel different..

“Then I asked myself: what am I doing this for?”

This stuck with me. I realized I didn’t start to become someone else’s idea. I started because I love creating, having my own voice. I loved getting lost in music, I loved what my thoughts sounded like.

“So I went back to the moments when none of that mattered”

I started thinking about the old days. Filming my friends, skateboarding, making silly videos. Recording things just because I thought they looked cool. Just being present.

“Maybe I just needed to start making music for myself again”

And that’s what this became. A reminder to at I don’t need to chase what’s next. Just make something that feels like me. 💙💙💙
