If you’re looking for the perfect spa-day, look no further than @thegrandyork , York’s only 5* hotel set amidst the historical city with a unique history of its own.
🍍 The Grand is part of the @preferredhotels group and also featured in @cntraveler as the place to go for the ‘royal treatment’
🚂 @thegrandyork is on the door step of some of the city’s well-known locations including the Minster, City Walls and The Shambles. It’s also within walking distance to the train station, has valet parking and also an NCP next door
🚿 Luxury amenities in the rooms include @moltonbrown goodies and fluffy robes. The Grand is a spa hotel, and use of the sauna & gym is a part of your booking. Treatments at the spa can be added on to your visit. The pool also has children’s swim times, making it much more child friendly
🧸 In line with how welcoming they are of children, you can book a family package which includes robes & slippers for the children as well as a child’s goody bag and the hotel’s own teddy to keep. They also have a cookery school, and options include vegetarian, vegan, Indian, Italian with sessions for both adults and children.
🥐 At the buffet breakfast, you can enjoy continental, hot & speciality treats, and with vegetarian and fish options, it is catered well to the halal diet. Staff are also on hand to clarify whether any product contains alcohol
🍷 The hotel has a fine dining restaurant on site, and they can cater for a halal diet with prior-booking. This also extends to the afternoon tea (alcohol served)

During our visit, we found the service and behaviour of the staff was extremely welcoming. They were friendly to the children, and were happy to go above and beyond to meet our needs. Our plan at the hotel was to simply relax, and @thegrandyork provided the perfect place to do just that.
