‘Analog work part 2’

Second series with analog photos. I would love to master this, but I’m gonna need some practice in on the manual focussing. First image is my favorite analoge so far. With the reflection it almost feels like a painting.

At the beginning of this year I launched my gnome birthday calendar, and the second print run has just arrived! Everything is fully restocked.

Every month has a gnome that fits the season. This is one of the products I am most proud of, because I saved up for it for such a long time. I really wanted to use my favourite paper. I was able to afford it with the earnings from my December box from the year before.
Every time I want to create at least one new product, it is an investment. So I am really happy that the calendar is doing so well!

The paper I used has a lovely texture and looks a little bit like watercolour paper. It comes very close to handmade paper, which is so beautiful! But even more importantly, it is chlorine free and FSC certified. That is the reason I chose this paper and saved up for it.
My gnome illustrations look beautiful on it, and it is also really nice to write on, which is quite important for a calendar.

And a little more about that December box. Every year I make an advent calendar. Since my English is not fantastic and I am a Dutch writer (besides illustrating, I also write books), it is only available in Dutch. But that certainly does not make it any less beautiful.
I am so proud of this year’s box. It is not an ordinary advent calendar, but a big gift box where you follow a story.
Hopefully it will do just as well this year, so that I can launch another product next year. This is how I keep investing in my business, while allowing everything to grow at its own pace.
I truly think this is the most wonderful job there is. Thank you for buying my products and supporting my art!

‘Tiramisu can’t fix everything, but it sure can make an average photo a whole lot better’

A few pictures from yesterday’s BBQ. Good company, great food, tasty tiramisu, marshmallows with candle lights and a few rounds Uno.
