It was a great day at Luckypawlooza 🐾A fundraising event organized by @luckydogrefuge and what a day! I appreciate everyone who allowed me to take their pets photo 🐾
The staff and volunteers are dear to my heart so I try to photograph you all. And of course the founders Kirstin and her mom. Always nice to chat with Mrs. Mende and to follow her around 😊
Let’s keep the mission going 🐾 Thank you to everyone for coming out to support!

Why are we still relying on the same inhumane testing methods we used over half a century ago?

For decades we’ve been forcing beagles to inhale toxic substances just to guess how they might harm humans. The heartbreaking reality? Science shows that animal testing fails to predict human outcomes over 90% of the time.

By continuing this cycle and ignoring New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), we are actively holding back science. NAMs—which include advanced human cell cultures and computer modeling—are cheaper, much quicker, and significantly more accurate than traditional animal models.

While everything else progresses at lightning speed, our regulatory testing remains trapped in the past. We are choosing an outdated, ineffective, and deeply inhumane route over superior, modern alternatives that actually protect human health.

It is time to evolve past cruelty and embrace precision science. Who’s ready to move forward?? 👋🏽👋🏽🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

🌾 Flour Flourished 🌻

And just like that Ward Street Foster has another one in the books. Not our longest nor our shortest dog in foster but one of the sweetest.

Congratulations Flour on your Furever Home! We love you!
