NATURE DOES NOT CARE IF YOUR OUTFIT IS THRIFTED 👏🏽 Overconsumption is a HUGE reason our earth is in the state it’s in & while yes, sometimes I do think it’s important to buy certain outdoor gear brand new, most clothing for hiking can absolutely be purchased secondhand. Just because you can’t afford the cool wide leg pants, the brand new shoes, the ultralight backpack, etc. doesn’t mean you can’t start getting outside - which is something I wish I realized when I first started hiking! As someone who has been in the reselling game for 10 years, i am constantly thrifting outdoor clothing & if i do by brand new gear I trade my used items into my local gear store for credit that I can use toward brand new gear for myself ♻️ so in a way, I’m basically recycling my wardrobe & my thrift finds into gear for future adventures! We’re excited to introduce vintage power couples Karessa and Harry of Dustbunny, along with Sydney and Johnny of Lucky Match! They will be set up together with an eclectic booth of vintage gems. Dustbunny’s physical location opened up this Summer on Mississippi Ave in North Portland and is the talk of the town. We asked Karessa what sort of product gets her excited and she had this to say: “I love finding 30s/40s dresses, 70s glam and vintage Gap and J.crew” Lucky Match is a labor of love between partners Johnny and Sydney. Although it officially began in 2023, its roots trace back seven years. “We like to sell anything from the early 1900s-y2k fashion, we aren’t era/style snobs by any means, if we like it & it makes us smile then we are happy. Johnny loves anything that sparks a sense of nostalgia for his youth & I tend to love anything from the 60s/70s”
