#myganeshathome Our dearest Ganesh Chaturthi memories are etched in the sweet warmth of our bustling family kitchen, where flour-dusted hands and shared laughter bring every festive recipe to life. This year felt especially magical as three generations gathered around the table to shape steaming, fragrant Ukadiche Modaks and golden ladoos from scratch, completely skipping store-bought boxes for a sustainable, zero-waste celebration. With sticky fingers, playful banter, and my grandmother patiently passing down her secret proportions for the jaggery and coconut filling, the kitchen transformed into a sacred space of connection—proving that the best part of Bappa’s festival is the love we stir into every sweet moment together.
This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi was uniquely special for our family as we beautifully harmonised age-old traditions with deep environmental consciousness. Moving away from commercial celebrations, we hand-sculpted our own eco-friendly Shadu Mati (clay) idol embedded with plant seeds, surrounding Him with zero-waste decorations made of fresh marigolds and upcycled silk sarees. @chandrikadesai1234 @hirenpdesai @sheildesai15priv #greenganpatichallenge

TERI hosted the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026 Accelerator Session on Circular Public Procurement for Sustainable Consumption and Production on September 18, 2026, bringing key stakeholders to explore practical pathways for mainstreaming circular procurement in India.
Dr Shailly Kedia, Director, TERI, opened the session by highlighting how circular public procurement and credible ecolabels can help create markets for circular products while addressing demand and information gaps. Mr Pujeet Jha, Research Associate, TERI, set the context for the discussion, while Mr RR Rashmi, Distinguished Fellow, TERI, underscored the potential of leveraging India's vast public procurement ecosystem to create demand for certified circular products.
Moderated by Mr Rashmi, the panel discussion brought together experts from government, international organizations, academia and industry.

The session featured remarks by Shri Virendra Singh (Bureau of Indian Standards), Shri Saubhagya Dixit (Central Pollution Control Board), Shri Vikram Rajvanshi (Ministry of Finance, Government of India), Ms Gina Torregroza (UNEP), Ms Barbara Ziolkowska (World Bank), Mr Shouvik Datta (European Union), Mr Amrat Singh (CUTS International), Dr Bhabesh Hazarika (NIPFP), Prof. Amit Singh (TERI SAS), Ms Pratibha Dewett (Lucro Plastecycle), and Mr Anil Kumar (Ministry of Finance), who shared diverse perspectives on advancing circular public procurement through robust standards, credible ecolabelling, life-cycle costing, MSME participation, and sustainable procurement policies.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Ishita Shrivatsava, Associate Fellow, TERI.

This Ganesh Chaturthi, I chose to welcome Bappa in an eco-friendly and creative way. Instead of buying expensive decorations, I reused old newspapers and empty cans to create the décor, giving waste materials a new life. ♻️🌿 The most special part of my celebration was the Ganpati idol itself. It was lovingly handmade using pulses, dals, flour, corn paste and other edible ingredients. After the symbolic immersion, the idol would be turned into nourishing khichdi, which will be then distributed as Prasad. What better way to spread Bappa’s blessings than by sharing food with others! 🙏❤️ For me, Ganesh Chaturthi is not about the size of the idol, the cost of the decorations or showing off our wealth. It is about the faith, emotions and love we have for Bappa in our hearts. Bappa ko dil se manao, dikhave ke liye nahi. ❤️ Festivals are meant to bring happiness, not harm to nature. So this Ganesh Chaturthi, let us celebrate with devotion, creativity and responsibility. Let us all respect the nature and pledge to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an ecofriendly manner.
'Ek do teen chaar...Ecofriendly rakhenge Ganpati ka Tyohaar' 🙏✨🌺

This Ganesh Chaturthi, I wanted my Bappa’s home to be beautiful, meaningful and kind to Mother Nature. 💚✨ My Eco-friendly Ganpati idol is made from papier-mâché, keeping the celebration traditional yet environmentally conscious. For the decoration, I chose simple, natural and reusable elements like cane baskets, jute mats, grass, fresh green leaves, vibrant flowers and seasonal fruits. Instead of artificial décor, I let the beauty of nature take centre stage, creating a rustic, earthy and peaceful setup for Bappa. 🌺🍃🌿 Is baar Bappa ka swagat thoda hatke hai...prakriti ke saath, prakriti ke liye🙏💚 Every little element has been thoughtfully placed to remind us that celebrations can be grand without harming our environment. Bappa aaye hain, khushiyaan laaye hain aur saath mein ek chhota sa eco-friendly message bhi laaye hain...Bhakti bhi, Beauty bhi aur Nature ki Care bhi 🌿🐘✨ Ganpati Bappa Morya Mangal Murti Morya ❤️ #ttwithbappa
