Happy First Day of Summer! This is a flashback Friday post from the summer solstice 9 years ago on June 20, 2016. I took this from Crissy Field in San Francisco. A lot has changed since I took this picture. My kids were 3 and 6 at the time. Now they’re 12 and 15! Where has the time gone? I remember @imanor and @lucsteven were with me that day. It was the first time I met @jrandolphphotography. I have not seen those three in a long time and sending my love to them! 💜

It has been awhile since we’ve had a brilliant sunset so I turned to the archives for this one. I think we need to will Mother Nature to bring us skies like this again. Hope you all have a great summer. Are you doing anything exciting? I want to live vicariously through all of you.

I spent the last few days going through my unprocessed photos over the years to find some of my favorites. Do you ever go back to your archives?

Look what arrived today. Thanks for the coffee @lucsteven. You’re the best. I can’t wait to try it. Go check out @andytownsf coffee if you visit San Francisco. A real gem in the city.

Words can't explain how the memory gets embedded in the brain, life is what it seems to be, what you want is realistic and simplistic dreams so shoot for the stars like a beam🔹🔹🔹shot along with @nikonej kaaren_citaa @mutiarasmoments & a lot of other talented photographers

The picture that I posted yesterday made me think about this amazing sunset that I saw in 2016 at the top of those very same mountains. When this was taken the fog flowing over the Santa Cruz Mountains in my previous picture was lower. We drove up here to the top of the mountain to get above the fog. This area was evacuated during these recent fires. I am hoping it didn’t burn. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fog will help the firefighters save places like this. This was taken with @imanor, @lucsteven and my kids. I miss them! I hate that I can’t take pictures with my friends. This pandemic sucks. Please wear a mask, wash those hands and maintain social distancing. ❤️
