How I Landed 4 Design Jobs Before Graduating. My Degree isnt even in Graphics, however, I've had a few different jobs in the design field before walking the stage. 1. I stopped separating "real experience" from everything else Product Design Engineering was useful in teaching me that software, processes and skills are only as useful as they're used to be - I used everything id been taught to continuously benefit my brand and add "experience" to fill gaps on my resume. by the time I'd finished with the course, i had too many projects to list a few. 2. I chose Rooms over Titles Networking is an easy way to get in the room with like-minded people, and from that will come things to get involved in, naturally. But from that you learn very quickly who is goal-oriented vs who only wants to appear goal-oriented. You want to favour rooms with people who are on the same or higher level than yourself, and if the quality of the work doesn't match the length of the title, leave the room. (Always helpful to have a mentor to invest in aswell) 3. Make it impossible to say no Leverage anything and everything you can; companies and organisations may appear organised, but they're highly functioning freelance operations, and freelancers favour initiative and versatility over qualification every time. An resource unused is a resource wasted.

At the studio, we love sitting down with people who are really shaping the culture in their own way. @saadinasty is one of those — an astounding, multifaceted creative working across music, DJing, radio and more. He’s someone who naturally brings good energy, connects people, and is intentional about what he’s building, with a clear vision to bridge the gap between Manchester and London through music. Real conversation, real insight, and some valuable advice for anyone finding their way in the creative industry🖤

One thing that really matters to us at the studio is highlighting the people behind the brands. It was great to talk with @terry_quaye owner of @tqfilmworks and hear more about his journey, his experience, and what’s shaped him along the way. With 8 years in video, a strong work ethic, and an easy-going nature, he’s built something that reflects both his talent and his character. These are the kind of conversations we love making space for at @blackoutstudiomcr 🎬🦇🎥🏍️
