I OFFICIALLY GRADUATED!!!

i can’t believe it’s over already. i remember walking into school being so incredibly shy, switching school districts and being terrified everyone would hate me, then becoming a part of an amazing community. i will never forget the love and appreciation i felt going through school with my classmates. i learned who i was along side them, figured out what future meant to me, and learned what true friendship is. i can’t believe i am making a post saying im graduating when i feel like i still have years to go. time really does fly

i want to thank everyone for your impact on my life. thank you to my family for taking care of me and pushing me to be the best i truly can be. your love and support kept me going in the hard times and stress of school. thank you to my teachers for being someone i can rely on and learn not just the subject but life from. and thank you to my friends along the way. i wouldn’t be here without you. you made me truly feel like i belong and made school a place that im sad to say goodbye to

i’m truly going to miss each and every person that has been on this journey with me, but i can’t wait to see what life has in store for us. i wish you all the best and don’t be strangers :) i love you all

Speech and Debate has been my scapegoat for the past two years now, I've grown into myself and made new friends along the way. With the school year ending so is my sophomore season with that being said my favorite seniors are leaving and I don't know how to deal with it. Life isn't going to be the same without all of you! Especially THE Mason Warner!

Our Senior Spotlight this week... is THE Lucy Priebe! Lucy has been a key member of this team for the past four years, holding down the fort as our amazing interpreter! We love Lucy's ability to come up with unique topics, to think outside of the box, and her leadership that has truly helped this team grow!

Favorite thing about Speech and Debate?
My favorite thing about speech and debate is the way that it connects you to not only the people on the CSN team, but also people from all over Idaho, and eventually the United States. The people I've met through speech and debate are so incredible and have become a huge part of my life, which I'm very thankful for!

Plans after High School?
After high school, I will be competing on the Whitman College Debate and Forensics team and participating in their 3-2 program where I will receive a degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, then move to a partner institution to complete a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Biggest Accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment in speech and debate is receiving the NSDA District Student of the Year this year, which meant a lot to me!

Dear Speech and Debate,
It's your turn now.
•
It was always more than just talking. I was taught passion, perspective, optimism, and so much more; to debate and adovcate for so many things was truly incredible. I cannot express how much all of you- teammates and competitors- have made my speech and debate career the best it could have ever been.
•
For my Debaters- You are all amazing. Everytime I debated you, I was in awe of what intelligent, strong people you are. I learned how to be open-minded to so many opinions, and I would not have done that without you.
•
To my Retold kids- It has been such a pleasure to draw with such amazing people. You all taught me how to be more optimistic, and enthusiastic about the world around me, even during tough times. I wouldn't be smiling the way I am without you :).
•
And most importantly of all, To my Team- I loved growing with all of you, truly my closest friends I have made during high school. You are my favorite people, I have enjoyed you all through the ups and downs, the giggles and the long bus rides. Thank you for guiding me through my exhausting prep, and sitting through my imaginary story times, I know I would not be the person I am today without your support and friendships.
