Immense gratitude to @dreamina_ai for inviting me to present at Cannes Next at the @festivaldecannes @marchedufilm 🙏🏻💞
Showing La Tisseuse d’Ombres on that stage was an honor. But what I’m even more grateful for is the chance to dissect my workflow, to show that making an AI film isn’t “pressing a button.”
In my process, I’m training my own models, curate 100 images out of thousand, write with people who have a critical eye and stories to tell. Edit for days.

The reactions in the room reminded me of something I deeply believe in: there is a real audience for AI films. Curious and open for AI work that doesn’t try to imitate cinema, but proposes a radically different artistic gaze.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with @ludoviccreator who is proposing an approach to AI as a useful tool in integrate in a postproduction pipeline. We are on the same page, even if we use AI in very different ways.

Cinema is irreplaceable. Painting is irreplaceable. A symphony orchestra is irreplaceable. A human voice is irreplaceable.
What AI offers that’s genuinely interesting is hybridization. And it’s in that hybrid zone that a new language is being born.
More thoughts to come on the rest of what I observed at Cannes this week in an article I will soon publish on my @substack.

🤩What an immense joy to announce the La Tisseuse d’Ombres won a Silver Cube at @theoneclubforcreativity Ceremony last night in New-York, in the AI Visual Design - @dreamina_ai Category.
This is such a huge recognition I would never have dreamt of, I am so grateful😭

In the process I mixed many tools, which emphasizes the statement about hybridation and singularity of the storyline.
The multi-frame feature just launched just when I was about to submit it to Festivals. The results were so amazing that I reworked some sequences before deciding the object was finished and frozen in time.

Since then, La Tisseuse won 3 major awards: Best Use of AI at the @artefact.ai.film.festival, the Press Prize at the @worldaifilmfestival and now an #ADC Silver Cube.

Working with AI, especially for the past 2 years, is working with tools that are evolving extremely fast and can radically change an entire film. This is why I always say that AI films are objects of time, documenting the technique while creating a new form of storytelling.
Since last November, Dreamina released Seedance 2.0 and La Tisseuse d’Ombres would be a completely different object if I was making it today.
Instead of finding it frustrating, I embrace the fragility and the beauty of it. I find it so incredibly inspiring and can’t wait to see what my next film will look like.
