Love high tea. Think British as opposed to marijuana. And with my fabulous British friend Catherine, even better! #hightea #highteaparty #highteatime #tea #hotelproper #properhotel #nibbles #sundayfunday #dgrabby

Story time on the one year anniversary of me joining the cast of the best piece of theatre I’ve ever experienced, @thejungleus .
.
One year ago @jjbioh hit me up and asked if I can sing and if I can speak my native language. I answered yes to both. Soon after, I got a call from @arianmoayed and he told me all about this amazing show called The Jungle that was in previews at @stannswarehouse and asked me how quickly I could get to Brooklyn. I went and watched it with him and cried my eyes out it was so good. The next day I auditioned for it and a couple of days after that I was out on stage with the company as Mahalet, a new Eritrean refugee at the camp, and I’ve never felt more terrified and more supported in my life! I went on with the show to the @sf_curran and understudied two of the best actresses on the planet, @rachel_red.ford (Beth) and @nahavelli (Helene) and I can not say enough how wonderful of an experience it was to play not one, not two, but three brave and powerful women. .
.
This experience changed my life and my career in so many ways and I made friends who have become family and I will love them forever. I am so, so grateful! Thank you @jjbioh , thank you @arianmoayed , thank you to this amazing cast, Stephen, Justin, all of the Joes, and thank you God for this gift. I can’t wait to watch it again this coming spring at St. Ann’s Warehouse! #SAWTheJungle #JungleSF

This is LOVE! Today marks my 8th birthday, and this is a celebration I will never forget. The Jungle asks: “When does a place become home?” My answer: “When people you love are in it.” Thank you so much to my @thejungleus family. #CHOOSELOVE #HappyBirthday #Mubarak

I am so lucky to be part of a community that loves so hard for each other and our successes. And what a freakin night watching @luedtkecat kill her performance in The Jungle at the Curran. Also. Go see this. It’s beautiful, informative, important, full of light, hope, love and heartbreaking realness.
