There’s reworking clothes.
And then there’s actually knowing what to do with them.

What caught us here wasn’t simply the idea of giving an existing piece another life, it was the use of textile, texture and craft to turn something already good into something you’d stop and look at twice.

Because sustainability alone doesn’t make something worth wearing.

The piece still has to be bloody good.

Beautifully made. Interesting. Full of character. Something you want in your wardrobe because it brings something to it, not because you’ve been told you should want it.

And this is where independent designers can be so exciting.

Taking quality that already exists and adding another layer of creativity, workmanship and point of view.

What a magical few days at @thecountrybrocante🤍

Thank you, Lucy & Sophie ( @lucyhaywoodathome @sophie_b_in_sussex ) for creating such a beautiful gathering of vintage lovers, collectors and makers.

It was so lovely to meet so many of you in person, to see familiar faces, discover new treasures and spend time with such a talented community of sellers, so much inspiration, and friendships old and new.

Today marks six months since I lost my papa to cancer. After what has been the hardest six months, this weekend felt like a little pocket of light. I found myself wishing so many times that I could have shared it all with him. I know he would have been so proud.

Feeling incredibly grateful to be part of this beautiful community. Until the next brocante! ♥️
