tomorrow I start my digital strategist & communications internship (paid 🥲) but first I had to eat a lot of hot dogs, hold hands with my family, notice butterflies and flickering lights, smell the black eyed susans, win at 3s, savour a perfect breeze, watch the moon get eclipsed, celebrate a coming marriage, read some poems, etc. you know how it is, I’m busy! okay, I love you more, MUAH *

Cabaret October 2025 at Goshen Theater
To be able to step into the role of The Emcee was something I never imagined I could or would do, but I’m so grateful I got the opportunity. To tell that story, especially at this time in our political world, was so healing and also heartbreaking. I left a little piece of me on the Goshen Theater stage. The Emcee will always have my heart

happy #mexicomonday !! today i'm sharing some pics from @museodehistoria. i miss mexico soooo much 😭 it's been so cold here and we keep getting random snow storms even though it's spring, which is so unfair.

happy #museummonday !!! here are some super crunchy photos from @sainte_chapelle almost ten years ago!
🌈
lately i've been thinking about the places i haven't been to since before 2020. i wonder how they may be different, how they may be the same. my own country has changed so much in just a few years, let alone the cities i've actually lived. chicago was blissfully devoid of tourists until 2022, and now it's even worse than before.
i think of all the specific places i loved that have been closed (a punishment for liking niche things).
i think about how technology has changed and websites have changed. these pictures were taken on the crunichest iphone camera (which is why there are almost no pictures of the ceiling. they all looked terrible and it made me sad, because the ceiling is SO beautiful). they were taken for my OLD old instagram account, and for some of them i only had a copy from after they had a filter slapped on them (luckily, my editing has never been TOO egregious, even as a teenager).
🇫🇷
i hope everyone's 2025 has been going well so far.

happy #throwbackthursday !! i recently rediscovered these photos of a field (haha, get it?) trip in college that i inadvertently inspired due to my special interest (more on that later). i’ve been lucky enough to see the field archives/“behind the scenes” a couple times, but it’s always a treat.
🪲
if you scroll to the end, you can see me the most starstruck i’ve ever been (meeting the museum’s dermestid beetle colony). my professor for my freshman seminar used to work at the field, so my friends convinced me to ask her about the beetles, because i had been fascinated by that practice for YEARS (for those that don’t know, dermestid beetles are also known as “flesh eating beetles,” and they are often used in museum preparation to clean bones for study. they have to be locked away behind reinforced doors and walls because otherwise they will get into the taxidermy and eat that too. the field’s colony has a particularly interesting history. there was a great write-up in the chicago tribune in 2014, which is what spurred on my obsession). i asked her about the beetles and she said that she could see if she could organize a tour for kids who were interested, and several weeks later i was meeting a huge idol(s) of mine. it’s one of my favorite museum experiences (right next to getting to talk to an engineer on a disney cruise about “where the poop goes”, although i got a pin for that one, and i did not for seeing the beetles).
🦉
i hope you all have a great #fieldfriday tomorrow!
