Built by the process. Mentored for more. 🏈🏃🏽‍♂️

This journey has always been about more than developing an athlete. It has been about developing a young man.

Luis Madera came to us as a talented football and track athlete from Ralston Valley, ready to improve but also willing to listen, learn, and be challenged.

Over the past two years, I have watched him become faster, stronger, more explosive, and more knowledgeable in both of his sports. But what makes me proudest is the growth that cannot always be measured by a stopwatch, a weight-room number, or a game statistic.

Luis learned how to accept honest feedback, strengthen his mindset, compete with purpose, and take responsibility for his own development.

“Coach Thal has been my mentor for the past two years, giving me feedback other coaches wouldn’t and helping my mental more than any coach I’ve ever had.”

Those words mean a lot because coaching has never been only about creating better athletes. Through 50SP and Alpha & Omega, our goal is to prepare young people for competition, adversity, leadership, and life.

Luis will now continue his education at the University of Colorado, and I could not be more proud of the direction he is heading. He represents what can happen when talent is matched with discipline, humility, consistent work, and belief.

Luis, thank you for trusting the process and allowing me to be part of your journey. Keep applying everything you have learned, continue leading by example, and never stop pursuing the best version of yourself.

Better in both sports. Better prepared for life.
