From the Mission District to the pages of the LA Times! 🥹❤️ I couldn’t be prouder of our Mission Lotería team and everything we’ve accomplished together. What started as a passion for celebrating our neighborhood, its culture, and its small businesses has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. Seeing our new storefront receive statewide and national media attention is such a proud moment, not just for us, but for the artists, entrepreneurs, and community members who have helped bring this vision to life. One important distinction worth sharing: While this article highlights the incredible work of Latino-led nonprofits, Mission Lotería itself is not a nonprofit. We’re a community-driven business with a mission to champion our neighborhood, uplift local entrepreneurs, and create opportunities for our community to thrive. We believe businesses can be powerful forces for positive change, too. I’m especially grateful for our hardworking team, who continue to pour so much heart, creativity, and energy into building this space and everything it represents. There’s still so much work ahead, so many stories to tell, and so many ideas we can’t wait to bring to life. We’re only just getting started. ❤️‍🔥 A huge thank you to Terry, the Associated Press and Los Angeles Times for sharing our story, and to everyone who continues to believe in what we’re building. ¡Arriba la Misión! 🌹 #missionloteria #latimes #missionstreetsf

Happy birthday my papasito @luisqofficial 🎂🤎 Made him a torta de mil hojas 🇨🇱 A crispy pastry, pastry cream, manjar, and raspberries. A little piece of my culture, a whole lot of love… and several spoonfuls of manjar that never made it into the cake 🤭 Happy birthday, my love 🤎 can’t wait for you to try it 😍!!

The highlight of a facial? For many, it’s the massage. Some come for results. At Unfiltered Beauty, why choose? You deserve both.

Just my story leading the @kqed homepage this morning. Why does Latino/Hispanic Heritage matter this year? It’s an opportunity for Latinos to support Latinos. I interviewed multiple business owners including Luis Quiroz of @missionloteria, Alicia Villanueva of @aliciatamaleslosmayas and Josiah Alderete of @medicinefornightmares about how they are thinking and feeling about HHM this year. “To be sitting here and about to open a storefront in the Mission, in the Latino cultural district of San Francisco,” said Quiroz, who was previously undocumented. “It’s my way of resisting. They’re not going to hold me down. They’re not going to hold us down. We’re here, we’re here to stay, and we’re out here. We’re thriving.” What do you think?
