The land opens up.

Earlier this week, Houston showed us the start of this clearing job off Highway 100 — solid timber in every direction. Now Hank picks up the story: trees coming down, logs cut to size and hauled out, the shape of a homesite showing through the woods.

There’s more work between raw land and a foundation than most people ever see. This is what it looks like when it’s done right.

Fairview, Tennessee. More to come.

It’s the little details that make a house feel like home.

From custom cabinetry and designer lighting to thoughtfully selected finishes, every element is chosen with intention.

At Howington Construction, we believe the details matter.

Every custom home has a starting point.

For this property in Fairview, Tennessee, that meant clearing the way for what comes next.

Before the foundation is poured, before the walls go up, and before the vision becomes reality, there’s work to be done.

This is step one.

Follow along as we transform this property into the next Howington custom home.

Great design isn’t just about how a home looks.

It’s about how it lives.

When planning this Beechgrove custom home, Ian and the team widened the front porch to eight feet—not just for the appearance, but to make everyday life easier.

Moving furniture.
Carrying groceries.
Welcoming family and friends.

Thoughtful decisions like these may seem small, but they’re the details homeowners appreciate for years to come.

It’s those practical touches that turn a beautiful house into a home built around the people who live there.

Hot days. Long hours. Big goals.

Building custom homes takes more than tools and materials. It takes focus, energy, and a team that’s willing to show up every day ready to solve problems and get the job done.

That’s why you’ll almost always find a few @1stphorm Energy cans riding along with the crew.

Here’s to staying sharp, working hard, and finishing the week strong. 💪

A couple of days ago, we showed you the finished result.

This is how it happened.

From truckloads of sod to the final rakes and finishing touches, every detail matters when bringing a property to life. The landscaping is one of the last major pieces of the puzzle, and it’s amazing how quickly it transforms the entire feel of a home.

Huge thanks to the crews at Tri-Turf Sod and Drew’s Lawn & Landscape for their hard work, precision, and attention to detail on this Kingston Springs project.

The finished product is always impressive.

The work behind it is too.
