$Fractured Society. To some, it is just the name of a barbershop. To some, it will be a statement that provokes thoughts about the divides in our society, our political divides, our religious divides, our cultural divides, economic divides and class divides. Truth be told, it’s an ironic homage to traditional barbershops, because barbershops stick the bandaid on a fractured society. We witness doctors, lawyers, tradies , students, old boys, the dad and lad, all sit side by side, engage in the same debates, laugh together, appreciate good music together, have a beer, a place for men to vent some issues, get their spirits lifted by good service and a fresh new look. We make people feel their best for some of the most important moments in their lives. The birth of their children, funerals of their friends and loved ones, their wedding day, school proms, first dates, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations - you name it. We watch boys become men and bring the next generation through the shop. All whilst helping a team of barbers to put food on the table for their families and keep a roof over their heads. Thats what Fractured Society Barbershop is all about. Putting a bandaid on society since 2018. Thank you for all who put their trust in us. What’s beautiful about this is Luke has been coming to get his haircut for 9 years, he’s been coming through the doors for fractured since the day it opened 8 years ago. We have both seen each other have children, get married, we’ve aged, grown, we’ve supported each other through loss and we’ve had some great laughs. We have developed a friendship through the craft of cutting hair. On this project I get to use my skills and passions to share his work and whilst he gets to use his skills and passions to share mine. I knew they would be top notch as all his work is and I had been waiting for a long time to see the shop through his eyes. Head to his page and give it a follow and show some love.$
