A winter day in Chicagoland with Deb and Luke 🤍

To all the 2027 brides deep in venue-hunting mode right now— this one is for you. Your Pinterest boards might be filling up, the friend advice may be loud, and you may have 30+ tabs open on your browser right now.

But if you like what you see in Deb and Luke’s teaser film, let’s slow it down for a second and talk about the strategy of first choosing a wedding venue.👇

✨ Pay attention to how a space feels— not just if it’s photo-worthy. Decor and aesthetics are flexible, but the atmosphere of a good wedding venue is harder to find. Ask yourself: Does my wedding vision fit the acoustics, layout and lighting of the space? When you find the right place, it should be easy to imagine your people filling it.

✨ Look for venue architecture that does the heavy lifting. Tall ceilings, intricate design, big windows, and intentional space mean you don’t have to over-style (or over-pay) to make your wedding feel elevated. When the venue bones are good, everything else becomes simpler (which usually means there’s less to manage).

✨ Think about how your wedding day will flow in one cohesive space. Fewer room flips means less guest confusion and more time actually celebrating. A wide-open, flexible layout gives you options with less chaos.

The Reserve is a great Indiana wedding venue option for couples looking to have a classy wedding. It checks all three boxes (and then some). Highly recommend checking it out! ✨

Still smiling thinking about yesterday. A full vendor list showed up with creativity and generosity, and 3 amazing couples to model for me, and I’m so thankful. And to The Reserve, and very special thank you for opening your beautiful new space for the most perfect backdrop for the whole day.
