I’ve put off making this post for so long because I genuinely don’t have the words to describe what this summer meant to me. With that being said, working West Coast Fuge surpassed my greatest expectations and left me with some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. All summer I watched Fuge live up to its slogan - life changing camps - and it’s something that I would never go back and change. I knew that working camp would be hard and fun but I didn’t realize how much it would change my life as well as the lives of the students around me. I am forever grateful for the people God placed on this team and the ways that we grew closer throughout this summer. I love you, Fuge West Coast. Until next time, Mochi Hurricane is signing off! so much joy joy joy joy down in my heart!!! behind the scenes of 68 days on fuge west coast travel!!!

JOYFUL OBEDIENCE

a phrase God’s placed on my heart all summer. I read in our hymnal, “Free us for joyful obedience” regularly.
I think obedience often has a negative connotation but I learned from this job working with these servant hearted staffers, that obedience under God can be done with the most joyful heart. This job was truly joyful obedience. Days spent doing chair ministry, jiggin’, pod clean out, loading and unloading box trucks, eating popsicles, filling out first aid reports, winning staff mega, having intentional convos with students, celebrating every holiday, zippering, meowing, LOTS of prayer, taking cover, and spittin;) All to glorify the Lord with the bodies, hearts, and minds we were given, to do what we were created to do. This summer I experienced the joy, blessings, opportunities, and fulfillment that comes from obeying God’s ultimate commission of serving souls the good news.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do no give up.” Galations 6:9

Lord, thank you for multiplying my fishes and loaves!! the most exhausting and equally rewarding/ fulfilling thing I’ve ever done!! this truly was my best summer of my life with the best staff/lifelong friends!! Strykers signing off for the summer💙⚡️ #westcoastbestcoast
