I struggle to find the words to express what playing for Leyden has meant to me. I will be eternally grateful for all of the lessons I’ve learned, love and support I’ve received, memories I’ve made, and narratives I’ve contributed to spinning. It has been one of the highest honors of my life to play for this team at the varsity level for 3 years. I have learned so much about God, myself, leadership, perseverance, commitment, hard work, and so many other things over my four years of being a Leyden Eagle football player. We have accomplished so much in my time being here and I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD IT ANY OTHER WAY! I will cherish all of the beautiful experiences I’ve had with this team for the rest of my life. I can’t even begin to process how quickly it went by. To all of my underclassmen, thank you for being part of this program, and keep growing into the leaders you guys were born to be. You have a great group destined for big things. To all of the upperclassmen along the way who showed me how and how not to be leaders, thank you for embracing me and my brother and teaching us how to get it done once we were in your position. To everyone, from flag football, through the Wildwood Seminoles and Oriole Park Falcons, to all of my high school teammates, it was a privilege to share the field with all of you and I will treasure the memories we made together as brothers for the rest of my life. Though I can’t tag you all in this post, we will be brothers forever. To all of the COUNTLESS people who have supported my football journey over the years, words could never truly express my gratitude. I have been SO blessed with such kind, encouraging, loving, and inspiring people in my life. To my family, I simply couldn’t have done any of the things I’ve done without your love, patience, and presence. I cannot even begin to process how my time as a Leyden football player has officially come to an end. I will always be proud of what we did. We struggled, grinded, won and lost as brothers. Every last bit was worth it. Thank you Leyden football.
