“9179” Jonathan, I was so blessed to be your mom for this many days…you were the best son anyone could dream of having. For the last 1546 days you made everyone at CHOC fall in love with you with your endless want of taking pictures with your friends and singing “the climb” or “mean” with all the girls. You fought so hard and never complained not even one time. You embraced every obstacle thrown your way with a smile on your face. This last weekend you had 26 visitors with 16 coming to see you on your last day here on earth. Everyone truly loved you so much. I got to do your nighttime routine one last time and after you asked me to “leave the light on please” you peacefully went to heaven. You are now more perfect than you were here on earth….no more autism, no more cancer, no more pain. Have fun everyday singing and dancing with Jesus. I miss you so much & I can’t wait until the day comes when I get to see you again. I love you Jonathan.♥️

January 28th is a bittersweet day. Three years ago today we received a call from Parker’s oncologist with the news that Parker had AML. He was still in active treatment for his ALL diagnosis and this news was a horrible shock. To get diagnosed with a 2nd cancer while we were already filling his body with poisonous chemotherapy drugs was devastating to us and Parker’s care team. January 28, 2021 our world shifted and we never expected where life would take us only one year later.

January 28, 2022 was the day we came together with hundreds of friends and family to remember and honor our angel Parker by celebrating his beautiful life. It was one of the most painful yet beautiful days of our lives. We knew it was the celebration that Parker would have wanted and we absolutely felt his presence among all of the people and things he loved most.

Fast forward to January 28, 2024. Adam and I spent our weekend doing something that we are sure made Parker smile. We had his cousins and best buddy, John (5 of his most favorite people) over for a sleepover. We solved some puzzles in an escape room, watched a movie, slept in forts, and walked to Parker’s favorite donut shop. But, most of all, we created special memories together. Parker may not be here physically, but his spirit is all around us. I hope that he is proud of us for finding joy together as we keep him close to us in all that we do. We love and miss you a “big bit” buddy. ❤️
