Double Black Pencil wins don't come around often.

At D&AD Awards 2026, @isleofany achieved a rare feat with 'Your Way Out' for @coinbase, taking home two Black Pencils for the same project: one in Visual Effects and one in Production Design.

The film drops viewers into an immersive video game world, following a hero on a mission to take control and discover a brighter future beyond the financial system as we know it.

Created with production companies MJZ Los Angeles (@mjzworldwide) and @selectedworks.tv, the film was shot almost entirely in-camera, using practical set builds, 2D-printed costumes, and real actors to bring its game-like world to life through a collaborative production. Production designer @lukemoranmorris was also named Production Designer of the Year at D&AD Awards 2026, recognising his work across the industry.

And the Pencils didn't stop there. 'Your Way Out' also won a Yellow Pencil in Art Direction, Graphite Pencils in Cinematography and Production Design, and Wood Pencils in Visual Effects and Film.

Congratulations to Luke Moran Morris @lukemoranmorris , who has been awarded the exceptionally rare and prestigious D&AD Black Pencil for Production Design / Technical Achievement for his work on Coinbase, directed by Oscar Hudson.

D&AD describes the Black Pencil as being awarded “for ground-breaking work exclusively”, with only a handful awarded each year, if any at all.

A remarkable recognition of Luke’s creativity, technical craft and innovation, and an extraordinary achievement on a truly ambitious piece of work.

The campaign also features Cinematography from Ben Fordesman, BSC @fordesman and Costume Design from Ameena Kara Callender @ameenakaracallender

“Braemar” incoming

Verneukpan is absurdly big and flat. It’s also the location for my debut film STRAIGHT CIRCLE. We spent 7 weeks there living in a tented camp 3h from civilisation battling the blazing sun and the freezing cold and dusty winds and scorpions under the bed and snakes in yer hair and randy goats eating the curtains and the vast weirdness of infinite nothing and the so-so-sick-of-sunsets. As filmmaking grows ever more ephemeral, impersonal & disposable I count myself so so lucky to get to do wildly illogical things with magic people in magic places.

After a year on the road doing the festivals I’m very excited cos it’s (finally) now time for our theatrical releases. US first. UK soon after…

To kick off a lot of Straight Circle posting from me over the coming months here is an array of spoiler-lite landscape-focused BTS to celebrate the mad beauty of Verneukpan.
