From Manchester United to wondering who you are when football is gone.

Luke Steele spent his life chasing the dream. Manchester United as a teenager. Professional football. The pressure, the setbacks, the injuries, the moments nobody watching from the stands off their sofas ever really sees.

But this Podcast isnt really about football.

It’s about identity. What happens when the thing that has defined you for most of your life suddenly isn’t there anymore?

Luke talks so openly about the highs, the lows, the things he struggled with away from the pitch, and why he’s now chasing an entirely different dream in …. Acting!

There are some properly funny moments in this one too 😂 and, somehow, Luke manages to UNO reverse the interview and start questioning me about why I created You Can Do Hard Things.

🎙️ My full conversation with Luke Steele is out now.

Watch on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts.
You Can Do Hard Things. 💛

Thank you to Northampton Town and Brighton & Hove Albion for having Josh and Luke in this week to speak to the U18s about scholarships in the USA as an exit route 🗣️🇺🇸

We have recently helped players from both teams make the move across the pond to continue playing football at an elite level, as well as earn a university education 👏

See the recent reviews from the parents of Ronnie Gorman and Josh Rayfield as to how they found their experience with YDP USA 🤝

Ex Professional Footballer and YDP Co-Founder Luke Steele regularly attending and taking sessions 🤩

Passing on his knowledge and helping improve the players on and off the pitch ⭐️

Having someone with over 300 professional games so close to the programme is a luxury for our players 💙

Not every day at work is about installing fuse boards, testing circuits and making sure everybody’s lights are working.

Last week he had the opportunity to support the @deepingrangersfc football club on annual golf day at @stokerochfordgolfclub

A truly enjoyable day and a privilege to be asked to join @lukesteeleydp
@jimmywalker001
@gashman10
And make up the 4th member of there team.

Unfortunately, we didn’t walk away with the win this time, but hopefully we’ll be back next year.

Thank you once again for everybody involved for allowing us to be part of your day. Always a great day support our local football team in Market Deeping.

🎙️ What does “making it” in football really mean?

Hear from YDP co-founder and former professional footballer Luke Steele as he shares his perspective on what it truly means to “make it” in the game.

Luke enjoyed a career spanning 300+ professional appearances across England and Greece, giving him first-hand experience of the highs, challenges and realities of life in professional football.

Speaking at the @huddle_events CTRL Cup at @millfieldfootball last week, Luke shared his insights with groups of U18–U16 players, offering them a different perspective on what success in football really looks like. ⚽️
