one of my favorite artists coming up man shoutout to love spells 💛

love spells just dropped his album “love is law” and its already one of my favorite indie pop releases of 2026. right after a k*ller performance at lollapalooza as well. songs like “crutch” are such great examples of tracks that set this intimate and gentle atmosphere for the rest of the album

love spells such has a uniquely soothing soprano range voice that lulls you into a serene state of relaxation on this track. paired with some gentle guitar and percussion, this track is one that’s bound to give you a warm fuzzy feeling as you zone out to the sound of love spells’s angelic vocals

“keep it to yourself” is the main single that released in the lead up to “love is law.” with themes of longing, love, and privacy, this track is bound to hit deep with a lot of people. love spells himself explains the track by saying, “sometimes love and its problems sound better in private”

this track is an emotionally detailed dive into the messier and not as glamorous aspects of a relationship, but the beauty of being able to share that struggle and journey with another person. it’s a dreamy indie spiritual journey of a track that love spells nails with his hypnotic vocals

the last track that i wanted to highlight was “don’t touch.” this track is by far the most sensual and flirtatious track on the project. the teasing lyrics like, “do I drive you crazy? you can look but don’t touch,” are so sensual and passionate that it really sets the mood for the listener. i really can’t get over just how smooth his voice is throughout this album and especially on this track. this is one of the most passionate pieces on the project

love spells has one of the most beautifully unique voices in the indie pop scene right now and i can’t wait to see what he does next. what do y’all think? what was your favorite track on “love is law?” what did you think of the “crutch” music video? lmk below <3
