Summer, for the Wray Boys, means RACING!!! If it has 4 wheels, they'll race it. I cheer them on while they "go fast"!!! This weekend we're the pit crew (the #12 is in the Race Shop) for JP Crabtree and Crabtree Enterprises. Here's to the memories that make us!!!

Night before the State Meet reflections...

When we took over the program in 2016 (girls 2017). We had a few basic goals in mind on how we wanted things to go.
- Get more kids out for our team and make sure we were recruiting the halls for kids that could help our team
- Make Delta Track and Field an enjoyable experience for anyone who came out for the team regardless of ability or achievement and make it a family
- Get kids opportunities to compete at the state finals of our single class state tournament in numbers we had not in the past

Having the coaches, past and present, we have been able to have for the last 11 seasons is what has truly made the difference. The time, effort, and energy they have put into our program and towards the athletes has been 2nd to none. We talk all the time about trying to squeeze as much talent out of each athlete as we can, like water from a sponge. The coaches we have had have squeezed more out than even I thought possible for some. For that, I and our program will always be grateful. Thank you to Jon Kern, Ryan Vanskyock, David Rawls, Chase Criswell, Emily Grider, Joe Rogers, Lea Daugherty, Sam Carlton,Quinn Backus, Katie Wray, Jason Wray and my dynamic duo partner Mackenzie Dye Conley.

Since 2016 our program has had:
* 37 athletes compete in a state finals event
* Qualified the 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8 boys relays at some point in that stretch and medaled the first two
* Qualified in 11 different boys events and 7 different girls events
* 13 state medals including FOUR State Titles from Nicki Southerland, the only female to win all 3 distance events in a HS career in Indiana (800, 1600x2, 3200)

I know it's not frenchies ... but these two have my heart. I had to jump on the trend!!!

Some fear the age gap! This is what 8 years looks like between my boys!!! I wouldn't have it any other way!!! Xoxoxo ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Proud of these two!! @zac_stanley19 won the long jump tonight and ran a beastly second leg of his 4x4. @LukeWray_4 PR'd in his two individual events and also ran a beastly second leg of his 4x4. Pretty cool they got to race in the same race against each other!
