California-Palestinian Halal Fast-Casual Restaurant by @chefmonaleena
**OPENING SATURDAY 2/21!!**

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our inaugural BreakFest vendors included Richmond’s Thomas Honey with honey aged in whiskey barrels, Babos kitchen and its line of ghee lentil granola, Golden Disco selling zero-proof canned cocktails, and Ed’s Breads with a variety of loaves made from a range of grains. Xula served traditional Guatemalan breakfast dishes, such as the pan con todo, a french roll stuffed with black beans, scrambled eggs, cheese and sour cream. Meanwhile, Chiricana dished up Panamanian breakfast items.

Inside @hammerlingwines, Sodo Donuts soothed a steady stream of un-caffeinated attendees with lattes and sourdough donuts, while Joyce Tang, owner of Bake Sum, greeted fans and signed her new cookbook, Bake Sum, co-authored by chef and former San Francisco Chronicle food critic Soleil Ho. Wilder Bloom got in the spirit with its stand of “mild,” “medium,” and “spicy” bouquets of flowers. Additionally. Preserved shared some knowledge with a fermented hot sauce demonstration, which helped set the stage for the highlight of the day, Nosh’s inaugural Hot Sauce Competition.

In this moment, it’s crucial to be informed on how your food gets to you. Co-owner, Lauren Miller and I grew up together in Mariposa county. Her legacy and ancestry is steeped in the ranching community. I was fortunate to receive a gift of her product one year for Xmas. It was phenomenal. My family resides in the Bay Area, but getting animal products from small farms has become a priority as the current administration undercuts food safety regulations. If you haven’t already heard— beef products are increasingly risky as we are accepting shipments that other countries openly reject. I highly recommend @flyingbbeef. Family/female owned. Morally based. And delicious. Don’t sleep on this opportunity. #smallfarm #beef #femaleowned #quality

Another day at the office…

I had such a lovely lunch meeting with @jmeskus at @luluslittlekitchen today. Hibiscus lemonade, hummus, chicken, so yummy! I had to get some pics of the wallpaper, of course. So beautiful.

Jess and I discussed the upcoming show, Murder at Tipsy’s hideout. This talented lady is going to design the menus and the program! Come see her work and the creativity of many other talented collaborators on May 17! Tickets are available at www.dkwproductions/events

Also pictured here: Show poster design and matching postcard by @danielrafn and second postcard by @skdrewz
