I am happy to announce the addition of Coach Braeden Cook to the Storm King coaching staff.🏀👑🏀👑🏀👑🏀👑
At a fairly young age, Braeden brings a ton of experience and also has a great sense of the local community. Coach Cook
graduated from Burke Catholic in 23’ where he played HS basketball. He currently coaches at Drive Sports and has also
coached at the NY Lighting 845 AAU program. Coach Cook was also afforded the opportunity to be the team manager at Scranton University. I’m really looking forward to having Braeden on the staff and I’m also excited to help him propel his coaching career. Congratulations and welcome aboard Coach!!!!!!!!!

The Storm King recruiting train 🚂🚂🚂 hits yet another stop!!!!!!! This time we stop in Denver Colorado and welcome Bryant Freed Valdez on board. This class of 2027 played last year at Northfield High School in Denver and he will attend Storm King this fall to do a post graduate year. Bryant brings all the intangibles……basketball IQ, team first mentality and getting others involved. On top of that Bryant has worked hard to be a scorer as well and he will have plenty of opportunities to do that here at Storm King. 👑 Looking forward to putting in the work with Bryant and helping him maximize his potential. Let’s work 💪🏼🏀💪🏼🏀💪🏼🏀💪🏼🏀

Storm King wrapped up the weekend with a statement win over Lexington Christian. They played with great pace, shared the ball, and made plays on both ends of the floor. Multiple players stepped up, knocked down shots, and competed for all 32 minutes to finish the showcase on a high note.

Storm King kept the momentum rolling in Game 2 at the NEPSAC Showcase with another impressive team performance. They played fast, shared the ball, and competed on every possession, with multiple players stepping up offensively. The balanced attack and relentless effort helped Storm King come away with another strong win.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT #3!!!!!!! Jovani Ali is the last of the newcomers that I will be spotlighting. Jovani had a great two days in Massachusetts and showed a lot of his abilities. As a big strong guard, Jovani made attacking the basket look easy at times and also showed the strength to shake off most attempts at help defense. Jovani also showcased the ability to get his teammates involved with a few beautiful passes. Orien comes to us from St Rose HS in Belmar NJ. At 6’3 Orien brings us size and toughness💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 at the guard position. This guy can get it done on both ends of the floor utilizing not only athletic ability but a cerebral approach as well. Orien will round out an athletic and deep roster for the Cougars and will play a major part of our teams success this year. As always…….time to work 👷‍♂️👷‍♂️👷‍♂️🔨🔨🔨🧱🧱🧱
