Music holds the extraordinary power to transcend boundaries, bridging hearts and souls across cultures and nations. Coming from South Sudan, a country deeply scarred by the divisive grip of TRIBALISM, I felt a profound need to channel my emotions into something that could resonate universally. I sought out a special dubplate to express the pain, hope, and unity that not only reflects my homeland’s struggles but echoes the shared experiences of many African nations facing similar challenges.

@pressurebusspipe , an international reggae artist from the Virgin Islands, has always been a beacon of positivity, singing songs that uplift the spirit of black people everywhere. His music radiates a message of hope, healing, and unity, qualities that are sorely needed in times of division. Through this collaboration, I wanted to amplify his voice and let it speak to the hearts of those who feel the weight of tribalism, showing them that, through music, we can rise above the forces that seek to divide us.

Thrilled to share that my song, “Those Days in Nairobi,” is featured in @jumpout_documentary shot in Kenya over 5 years. Excitingly, it’s set to be showcased at the Biarritz International Documentary Festival in France this Monday. Grateful for this incredible journey and the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful project

LISTEN TO MY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE SING WITH ME.
I started this RUKA journey more than 15 years ago and made sure I put South Sudan Music before anything. We are just getting started. I want the world to see this side of my country, We are happy people who just want to live life, Like I said it’s happy new year but not happy for everyone, We still have thousands of street homeless kids that need our help. Don’t ever forget we are all responsible for our happiness but also much more responsible for our youths. Our youths are the leaders of tomorrow and we need to protect them. Let’s work together as one for them.
We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
