Sound of session 4 at Pilchuck 2025. Rumor has it if you listen closely you can still hear Jordie and I laughing on the hill👹

This has been such a special experience—huge thanks to Barrio Glassworks @barrioglassworks and Pilchuck @pilchuckglassschool for the opportunity! I feel incredibly lucky to collaborate with some of the most amazing glassblowing teams around the world, bringing my work to life in different spaces, with different energies and hands shaping the process.
Each of these experiences fuels my inspiration. I truly love this journey, this community, and the ever-evolving dialogue between material, place, and creation. In my recent research, I’ve been exploring how site influences artistic practice, and this will undoubtedly be another valuable case study.
Excited for what’s next! ✨

What an incredible residency—full of experimentation, learning, and pure joy. I had the chance to push boundaries, explore new ideas, and work alongside amazing people who made the experience even more special. Grateful for the time, the space, and the inspiration. Can’t wait to carry these experiences forward!

Repost from @barrioglassworks A huge thank you to our visiting artist Jinya Zhao (@jinyaglass) and the dream team that made her inspiring designs come to life:
Logan Nash Groupe (@logan_groupe)
Drew Raskin (@the_raskinator)
Sean Clark (@seanclarkglass)
Tino Silva (@lust4glass)
And Team Barrio

Colors, layering, texture, and organic shapes were the foundations of Jinya’s designs during this exploratory residency. It was amazing watching these designs progress from inspiring drawings to final execution.
