Vegans really do be doing too much with their food. Part 3. 🍅🌱

Because why am I in the grocery store reading the back of a marinara jar just to decide I could make it better at home? 😭😂

And before y’all come for me, YES, store-bought sauce is convenient. But homemade marinara with roasted garlic, shallots, red wine, fresh basil, and @luv4butter_ smoky garlic butter? Baby, that’s a different conversation.

My mama and sister literally came over to investigate what smelled so good in the kitchen. 😂

Here’s how I made my homemade vegan marinara sauce:

🍅 Ingredients

* Plant-based smoky garlic butter @luv4butter_ (gifted PR)
* Fresh garlic and shallots
* Red wine
* High-quality Italian crushed tomatoes
* Fresh basil
* Salt and seasonings to taste

👩🏽‍🍳 Instructions

1. Melt the plant-based butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
2. Add the garlic and shallots. Sauté until fragrant and softened.
3. Pour in a splash of red wine and let it reduce.
4. Add the crushed tomatoes and stir everything together.
5. Season to taste and simmer until the sauce develops a rich flavor.
6. Finish with fresh basil and enjoy with your favorite pasta, pizza, or bread.

And that’s how a simple marinara sauce turned into another episode of Vegans Doing Too Much. 😂

Now I need to know: Are you team homemade marinara or team jarred sauce? No judgment. Okay, maybe a little. 👀

Your next opportunity could be watching your content right now. 🥹💚

A little reminder to POST THE CONTENT.

Whether your video gets 5 views, 100 views, 10K views or a million, you never know who’s watching.

A plant-based butter company discovered me through one of my cooking videos and reached out to send me some products to try. And moments like this remind me that every piece of content has the potential to reach someone new.

Not every video is going to go viral. Not every post is going to bring an opportunity. But if you keep waiting for the perfect moment, you’re giving yourself fewer chances to be discovered.

So create the recipe. Film the video. Share your work.

And now I have three different plant-based butters to experiment with, so you already know we’re about to make something delicious.

Gifted PR from @luv4butter_. No paid partnership.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off posting?

POV: Your “girl dinner” grew up in a Caribbean household. 😂🇯🇲

High-protein jerk butter steak over a loaded salad with:
🥩 Jerk & cane sugar marinated steak, basted in garlic herb butter
🥬 Romaine
🥑 Avocado
🍅 Tomatoes
🧅 Onion
🥓 Vegan bacon bits
🍌 Plantain croutons (gluten-free girlies, I got y’all.)

And before anybody asks… yes, I prayed over that lettuce about four different times. 😭 If prayer and expired seasoning can’t protect me, then I guess it’s God’s will for me to wake up 15 pounds lighter tomorrow. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Now THIS is how you put a Caribbean twist on a high-protein girl dinner.

Tag a friend who would absolutely tear this up. 🇯🇲🥗🔥
