After 13 years of laughter, hard work, and making the friends of a lifetime, school finally comes to an end. This all feels so surreal to me, and I can’t believe that I’ll never step foot in any of my schools again as just another student. I’ve been taught so much, but it’s not just everything I’ve typed out on a school Chromebook or written down on a piece of paper. I’ve also learned that it’s okay to make mistakes, to push myself even if it’s challenging, and above all, to hold the people I care about close to me. To everyone I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with in high school, you’ve all taught me important life lessons and a reason to keep on going. I couldn’t do any of this without y’all. Even though I couldn’t take a picture with every single person who changed my life for the better and made me who I am today, please know that I love and cherish you guys more than anything in the whole world. Till college! 🤍

I’m so happy I could spend my first spring trip with amazing people

Winterguard and Colorguard have been my home for the last four years.
I can’t express in words how grateful I am to spin with a team filled with loving and uplifting people. We would always just repeat to ourselves before a run, “At the end of the day, it’s just flags in a gym.” To me, it was always something more. It was those practices when we all made inside jokes that made Mr Thomas give us side eyes. Or when we let Mr. Messemore get seconds of the random cakes we brought to a rehersal. It was those late night IHop and Steak and Shake runs after a competition. And even in the bad times, when a run didn’t go quite how I wanted or I dropped, those meant everything too. They taught me how to accept failure and overcome my mistakes, even when I was nervous or anxious. People on the team wouldn’t bring me down, but instead they reassured me that everything was okay. The Lebanon Trail Colorguard is family to me, and after four years of amazing seasons and meeting the best people in my life, I’m sad that it must come to an end. I’m so proud of us for how much we’ve accomplished, and I’m incredibly lucky to be able to say I was in color guard, not only in this amazing program, but with these people. As I continue color guard after High school, I will always remember the program that gave me the talent and hope to keep moving forward in life. To Mr Thomas, Mr Messemore, all of the techs that helped us throughout the years, and everybody that I had the opportunity to spin with, thank you for everything. I love you LTCG.

The Rite of Spring 🌱💐

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end my 4th year of marching band. Having the opportunity to be guard captain for the people I love is such a blessing. Thank you LT band for helping me be apart of history.
